Reconstitution Guide

Selank (Tuftsin Analog) Reconstitution Guide

This guide outlines how researchers reconstitute lyophilized Selank into a solution of known concentration for laboratory use. It is reference information for preparing research solutions only. Selank is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and is not for human or veterinary use, consumption, or diagnostic application.

What you need

Step by step

Working out the concentration

Concentration is simply compound mass divided by diluent volume. For example, 10 mg reconstituted in 2 mL of diluent gives a solution of 5 mg/mL. Use more diluent for a lower concentration, less for a higher one. The reconstitution concentration calculator works this out for any mass and volume.

Storage and stability

Store lyophilized powder frozen at -20°C. After reconstitution, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C and use within the window appropriate to your research protocol. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw.

Analytical and COA

Purity is determined by HPLC and identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry. Each batch ships with a batch-specific certificate of analysis from an independent third-party laboratory; refer to the COA for lot-specific measured values. Endotoxin and sterility testing are not performed unless explicitly stated.

Frequently asked questions

How do you reconstitute Selank?

Add bacteriostatic or sterile water slowly down the inner wall of the vial, then swirl gently until clear. Never shake. Example: 10 mg in 2 mL gives a 5 mg/mL solution.

How much diluent should I use to reconstitute Selank?

The volume only sets the concentration (mass ÷ volume) — more diluent means a lower concentration. Use the reconstitution concentration calculator to find the volume for a target mg/mL.

How is reconstituted Selank stored?

Keep reconstituted solution refrigerated and use it within the window appropriate to your research protocol. Store unopened lyophilized powder frozen. See the storage section above for specifics.

Is Selank for human use?

No. It is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and is not for human or veterinary use.
